EnterpriseWorks startup and 2017 Cozad New Venture Competition prize winners PhantomCor fabricates artificial hearts customized to patient-specific anatomies and pathologies. Led by Professor Wawrzyniec Dobrucki, him and a group of students from the Biomedical Engineering Society “now have a working prototype of a two-chamber heart, and we have been able to use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), x-ray computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound imaging to test how it works.”

In April 2017, PhantomCor took home third prize on the University Resource Track at the Cozad New Venture Competition, and have been working out of EnterpriseWorks ever since. They also received first prize in the “Most Innovative” category at the 2017 Engineering Open House.
