Inprentus Contracts with China’s Soochow University

Inprentus, a recent EnterpriseWorks graduate, has been selected to supply their custom diffraction gratings to Soochow University in Hefei, Anhui Province. China. The gratings will be used at China’s National Synchrotron Radiation Labratory.

Founded in 2012, Inprentus was founded by University of Illinois Physics Professor Peter Abbramonte. Inprentus manufactures ultrahigh precision diffraction gratings for x-ray applications. The technology is a novel, duel-atomic-force microscope-based mechanical lithography method that allows high-precision patterning with nanometer precision over areas of ~10 cm squared or greater, and it particularly well suited for fabricating diffractive optics.
