Deming Chen, co-founder of EnterpriseWorks startup Inspirit IoT, sat down with The News-Gazette to talk about how his technology is solving safety and security problems on campus.
Inspirit IoT came to EnterpriseWorks in 2017 and has recently won first place at the IEEE/ACM Design Automation Conference 2017 International Hardware Design Contest. The startup provides PGA-based IoT platforms and development infrastructure that supports fast, easy and efficient design of Industrial IoT devices. Through a set of smart physical and algorithmic designs, Inspirit IoT has designed and manufactured a new printed circuit board which can detect suspicious activity through microphones, amplifiers, and analong-to-digital converters. Deming says that, “This needs to be a smart device, so it can campus to achieve the goal of being a peaceful and safe community for learning.”
