Daily Illini Highlights EnterpriseWorks Incubator

The Daily Illini took an in-depth look at the Research Park’s technology startup incubator, EnterpriseWorks, in the paper’s January 31 edition. The story captures the culture, resources, and successes of the incubator.

Research Park Director Laura Frerichs told The Daily Illini, “We have a rich support system with mentoring and guidance…and we’ve created a peer community that understands how to make (technology) companies successful.”

The paper also interviewed Ayush Kumar, CEO of EnterpriseWorks graduate Vitrix Health on his experience within the incubator. He shared that it is a valuable space for young, resource-constrained entrepreneurs to develop their businesses in a collaborative space.

Indeed, resources are vital to startups, which is why EnterpriseWorks companies are adept at raising money, including federal grants and over $1 billion in capital from private sources.
