EnterpriseWorks Shared Services Program

 

The EnterpriseWorks incubator at the University of Illinois offers a Shared Services Program to help its clients with short-term project needs.

Let our diverse team of student specialists help your company with projects that you may not otherwise be able to complete on your own. Please apply via the link below and your application will be reviewed by the Research Park staff. Once the application is approved, Shared Services will contact you and meet with you to commence the project.

Shared Services is a free service for eligible companies. To request a project, please submit an application online. Please read below to see more details and guidelines

Who is eligible?

Guidelines:

  • A  company may submit one request at a time.

    • Fall & Spring semester: Only one project request per company will be approved.

    • Summer: Multiple project requests from the same company may be approved. (Additional requests will not be considered until the deliverables from the previous project has been completed)

  • Project requests will be short-term in nature with specific deliverables

  • Project scope should be such that completion in a 30 business day period is reasonable

Types of projects we can assist with include:

Graphic Design:

  • Logos

  • Website Wireframes

  • Pitch deck layout and graphics

  • Flyers, brochures, and posters

  • Redesign of existing print or digital materials

  • Trade show materials, such as pop up banners

Multimedia:

  • Short duration (up to  3 minutes) videos, such as product videos, promotion videos, and product demo videos

  • Product photos

  • Company photos

Communication:

  • Developing website content

  • Providing public relations and social media assistance

  • Proofreading and editing news stories, announcements, and pitch decks

Software Development:

  • Website development using WordPress

  • Updating of existing websites using HTML/CSS/JavaScript/PHP

Human Resources:

  • Writing and/or editing job postings

  • Consulting for recruitment and interview strategy

  • Assistance with hiring international students

  • Employee handbooks

  • Health insurance and other employee benefits

Business Strategy:

  • Reviewing business plans and pitch presentations

  • Assisting with a market assessment

  • Reviewing business development strategy

  • Assisting with marketing and branding

Industrial Design:

  • Design thinking

  • Empathic modeling

  • Mood board generation

  • Concept generation assistance

  • UI/UX assessment
