The Visualization Laboratory is open to all faculty, students, and staff on the UIUC campus, as well as approved users from other universities and industry.  The Visualization Laboratory resources support a wide variety of projects for research including: 2D/3D/4D image analysis and quantification, scientific visualization, ultra-high speed video, macro-photography, macro-video, video production, 3D animation, high-resolution 2D scanning, 3D object scanning, full-color 3D printing, research presentation, publication graphics, and additional capabilities in support of imaging.

Champaign Urbana Community Fab Lab    

The Champaign Urbana Community Fab Lab is an open source community of people who like to design and make things. Our principal focus is to provide a safe and fun learning environment, so that students of all ages can master modern design and fabrication technology. The Fab Lab features tools and work space for teachers, students, technical hobbyists, artisans, and others. We celebrate entrepreneurial initiative. The Fab Lab makes available to the community many resources, including skilled volunteers, computers, computer-controlled (CNC) machines, and electronics assembly tools. These high tech tools make it possible for people of all ages and skill levels to build virtually anything imaginable. The Champaign-Urbana Community Fab Lab is part of a global network of Fab Labs -- making possible many connections with like minded people around the world.

Illinois Maker Lab

The objective of this lab is to provide a unique and valuable resource for students and faculty to gain hands-on experiential learning with 3D Modeling and Printing, a technology gaining adoption at the consumer level.  We have six MakerBot Replicator2 3D printers, along with some workspace for students to collaborate while working on their projects. We also have a Raspberry Pi in the Lab.

WAGNER MACHINE COMPANY

Wagner Machine is a precision machine shop. We do contract machining for any quantity of parts from individual prototypes to full production runs. We specialize in difficult to machine parts with short lead times, and we have work with both standard and exotic materials. We have many advanced machining processes in house including full 5-axis milling, advanced turning with sub spindle pickup live tooling and y-axis, abrasive waterjet, and wire EDM.
