About the Event: The University of Illinois will host Illinois GIS Day 2016 on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, in partnership with the Illinois GIS Association, at the iHotel and Conference Center in Champaign, Illinois. You are invited to represent your company by participating in this year's STEM Explorers (STEMx) Event.
Why: Engineering Council, the umbrella organization that organizes events like Engineering Open House, Engineering EXPO, and others, seeks to engage youth interested in STEM fields and encourage them to continue their pursuit of careers in these fields.
What: STEMx is a full-day community outreach event filled with workshops and student interaction.
Who: STEMx is geared towards Freshmen and Sophomore high-school students in the C-U area and surrounding communities, interested in learning about STEM fields. Our projected audience is 50 students.
How: Represent your company and engage youth by putting on an hour-long workshop focusing on a skill, lesson, or knowledge related to your (STEM-related) field of expertise.
When: The workshop will take place November 11, 2016 from 9:00am-6:00pm. You will only need to be there for an hour.

Reverse Career Fair
The University of Illinois Research Park will host its second annual Reverse Career Fair on February 16 from 5-6:30pm. The event allows student organizations to show Research Park companies what they have to offer and how the companies can engage with them and their constituents. The connections built between student organizations and the Research Park companies can lead to networking events, possible funding opportunities, speaking engagements for the group, and more. Ag Tech Summit
Modern agriculture is being transformed by a confluence of advancing technologies. As a result, record-breaking investments in the sector are supporting new ventures. Summit: Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the event will conclude at 3 p.m.
