Research Park Director Laura Frerichs sat down with Julie McClure of Smile Politely to discuss this year’s PYGHACK. For three years, Research Park has partnered PYGMALION with to host the community-wide hackathon. Though PYGMALION started as a music festival, the weekend now combines technology, music, arts, science, and more. In the interview, Frerichs discussed how the worlds of music and technology collide at PYGHACK saying, “The idea was that we would show two areas of the community: the technology prowess of the community, and the culture and music scene.” As these worlds collide, there’s no telling the creative solutions participants may produce.

The weekend-long hackathon will be held on September 27-28 this year. For more information or to register, visit PYGHACK.
