Phi Optics Recognized for Outstanding Technology by Central Illinois Business

Phi Optics was featured in the Central Illinois Business Magazine for their innovation and technology that could affect research into prostate and breast cancer.  Their system, CellVista Q1000, enables scientists to get images of cells without killing them in the process which allows users to get a better feel for how cancer cells multiply and grow. The CellVista Q1000 was unveiled at the BiOS 2014 biomedical optics conference in San Francisco.

Phi Optics moved into the EnterpriseWorks Incubator in 2012. In 2013, they received a $150K grant for SBIR Phase I from the National Science Foundation to build a commercial prototype. In June of 2013, they were granted seed funding of $250K from Serra Ventures, Illinois Ventures and Newport Holdings.
