Local Press Highlights EP Purification’s Ozone Generator

EP Purification, a startup commercializing microplasma technology developed at the University of Illinois, was profiled in the (Champaign-Urbana) News-Gazette Sunday edition on March 23. 

The startup was founded by Gary Eden and Sung-Jin Park, both faculty members at the University of Illinois. It is a finalist in the upcoming Clean Entergy Trust competition.

The company already has customers and is working with a local company to develop its user base.

” …. using microplasma technology, EP Purification has developed ozone generators that are smaller and more efficient than conventional ozone generators.

For one of the first applications of the technology, the company hopes to incorporate the device in laundry treatment systems.”
