The event allows student organizations to show Research Park companies what they have to offer and how the companies can engage with them and their constituents. About the Event: Research Park employees are invited to a Meet and Greet with Jenny Kim, our new Assistant Director for Talent and Programming. Before joining the EnterpriseWorks, Jenny served as the Assistant Director for Employer Outreach at the Graduate College Career Development Office where she lead efforts to build employer relations and create opportunities for student and employer interactions. Jenny earned a Bachelors in Biology and recently completed her PhD in Neuroscience, both right here at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In honor of Fat Tuesday, a Mardi Gras-themed lunch will be served. First come, first served.

EnterpriseWorks Starts Work on New EDA Grants to Help Foster Entrepreneurship Across Illinois
EnterpriseWorks has been awarded two grants from the United States Economic Development Administration (EDA) which will further entrepreneurship across the state of Illinois. A five-year Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant for $549,620 will advance incubators and entrepreneurial ecosystems associated with higher education across Illinois. EnterpriseWorks will provide assistance to other higher education incubators and entrepreneurial spaces located across Illinois, including many in economically distressed counties. EnterpriseWorks also has been awarded a University Center Grant to provide direct assistance to downstate Illinois entrepreneurs, with $270,000 over five years. Marissa Siero, co-founder of IntelliWheels, has been hired as the new Incubation and Entrepreneurship Outreach Coordinator at Enterpriseworks to implement these grants across Illinois. Introducing Jenny Kim: New Assistant Director for Talent and Programming
Please join us in giving a warm Research Park welcome to Jenny Kim, our new Assistant Director for Talent and Programming. Jenny has assumed many of Dana Cohen’s responsibilities. Please contact her regarding questions about hiring employees, making connections on campus, and furthering our mission to build community in the Research Park through educational, networking, and recruiting events. TDFC IV Coming Out of the Ground 
Astute observers of the Research Park will notice the progress of TDFC IV, the newest building in the Research Park, near the corner of Hazelwood and Fourth Street. The primary occupant of this building will be the College of Engineering; construction is scheduled to be completed by August. The Mixed Use Building is scheduled to begin construction in Spring 2017 by Fox/Atkins Development.
 
Trivia Comes to Research Park 
Grab your colleagues and head over to Houlihan’s for some trivia fun. A $50 Houlihan’s gift card will be given away at the end of the night. Houlihan’s will be running half-priced appetizers and drink deals for Research Park guests. Future dates: March 2 and March 30
