The AirScout VP Sales is a great growth position that will require rolling up your sleeves and making sales happen in the early years and transition to building a team and strategy going forward.   The AirScout VP Sales oversees daily sales activity, meets with major clients, draws up sales reports, designs new and more effective sales strategies, and works to market and promote AirScout services.  This position will report to the CEO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leverages contacts to grow sales pipeline
  • Meets with existing clients to discuss a company’s products and services
  • Works to foster strong client relationships
  • Locates opportunities to expand client base
  • Sets specific quarterly or annual sales goals
  • Reports regularly on sales activity
  • Works to ensure sales and productivity goals are met
  • Presents information regarding clients and sales at company meetings
  • Creates new and innovative ways to market products and services
  • Attends conferences and networking events, as needed.

Education and Experience

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in agriculture, Finance, Marketing, or Business, or related degree, as well as several years’ experience in the sales and marketing sector with a successful sales record in agriculture.

Work Environment

Airscout maintains offices in Champaign-Urbana and at Bult Field in North-eastern Illinois. This position can be based at either of these locations or out of a home office. The majority of working hours is in an office setting, either working independently or meeting with team members. Local and regional travel to meet clients and visit satellite offices is required.
