Looking to make a difference in healthcare? Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO) is changing the future of healthcare in ways you may never have considered. Become a Software Engineering intern that helps design and create medical terminology solutions to support over 80% of US clinicians.

Entering patient information into medical record systems without IMO is a lot like trying to search/utilize the internet without any natural language processing. Our software solutions allow nearly 90% of all US physicians to focus on CARE not on CODES, providing not only google-esque searching but also specialized “helper” drop-downs to ensure that the medical record captures the physicians’ intent, and that the patient information translates properly into billing and other code systems to facilitate payment and treatment.

Our interns work side-by-side with our engineers in our small, Agile, software teams, working on real production software, in a variety of languages and areas of specialty.

Teams/Areas: We offer summer internships in multiple teams and areas, including:

  1. Software Engineering / Development
  2. Data Science / Big Data Analysis
  3. Business Intelligence

  • Exploring natural language processing in a very specialized environment
  • Working on agile teams that leverage the agile Scrum framework
  • Working within a full life-cycle development environment which brings together software engineering and DevOps, from coding standards and process to continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Working with AWS, from Redshift to infrastructure-as-code
  • Extract and leverage IMO's data warehouse leveraging Oracle, MYSQL, and Redshift via SQL queries
  • Building out CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy code
  • Leveraging AWS services and infrastructure to develop software

Please Apply If You Have A Good Combination of the Following Skills & Attributes:

  • Career Development group training and individual coaching (presentation skills, business professionalism, business etiquette, résumé workshop, etc.)
