The Social Media Lead is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for our social media sites. This includes creating social media strategy and content, managing regular posts, and responding to followers. The Social Media Lead is a highly motivated and creative individual with experience and passion for our industry and for connecting with both our current and future customers. This individual will also serve as our online brand reputation manager and take pride in being the ultimate caretaker of our online presence.  
What You’ll Get To Do:
  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities. This includes:
  • Developing relevant content topics and editorial calendars to reach our customers and prospects, including but not limited to:
  • Showcasing our internal teams
  • Showcasing our customers
  • CEO thought leadership/visibility
  • Working collaboratively with Granular product and content marketing managers to develop social plans for products and build out campaigns to meet their GTM social goals
  • Creating, curating, and managing all published content (images, video and written)
  • Monitor, listen and respond to online users, while cultivating leads and sales
  • Track trending themes and topics relevant for our industry and utilize them to make our brand voice stronger, either by coordinating our point of view on the topic and helping to distribute, or passing to the appropriate applicable Granular team member to address
  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts
  • Oversee social design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, etc.)
  • Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation. Monitor online reviews/comments, respond to reviews and coordinate Granular’s response to online topics as applicable
  • Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Develop and implement a proactive process for capturing happy, loyal customer online reviews and comments
  • Identify threats and opportunities in competitive content and work with appropriate product content marketing managers to create strategies to address
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Compile reports for management/product showing results (ROI)
  • Collaborate with Corteva social media colleagues to best cross-promote between Corteva brands, as well as share best practices and learn from each other
  • In coordination with Granular design team, work to best manage and archive Granular’s content-related assets
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum of 2 years direct working experience in developing content and managing social channels including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
  • BA or BS, with communication, advertising and/or marketing
  • Experience leveraging social media management and analytics tools with platforms such as SproutSocial or Sprinklr
  • Familiarity and some experience with agriculture industry
  • Demonstrable experience with photography and/or photo editing software (Lightroom/Photoshop)
  • You’re a strong writer and can craft meaningful content that:
  • Effectively communicates information and ideas in written and video format
  • Uses basic design principles to create visually appealing graphics to coordinate with appropriate posts
  • Has basic video skills, with a firm grasp on social video trends and when a video will fit the content need vs. copy
  • Knows how to repurpose content to get the most mileage possible out of it without overusing it
  • Takes time to make sure every post and digital interaction holds true to our brand promise
  • Knows how to chart our competitive advantages in the market and use them in content to set our brand apart online
  • You possess the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side and use metrics to drive future recommendations. You’ll use these metrics to guide not only your own future strategy, but also share them with product shareholders to inform their strategies too
  • You’re a strong team player, with the confidence to stick up for strategy/content that you believe in, while also effectively collaborating with team members to group-think, strategize, and move the needle forward together
  • You’re a natural at social customer service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution
  • You can identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
  • You have a passion for continual learning and trying new things. You’re able to teach yourself new techniques, social platforms, and you’re always open to try and experiment with social tools that may be beneficial for our brand. You’re not afraid to take calculated risks, fail and learn from the experience
