Graphic Design Intern

The Graphic Design Intern will provide creative and practical support to the Communication Department. Reporting to the Lead Communication Designer, they will assist in the development and deployment of design elements for Common Ground Research Networks. This position will be paid hourly and will be held throughout the spring and summer with the possibility of returning in the fall.

The Graphic Design Intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Design promotional media for upcoming events
  • Prepare images to coincide with social media and blog posts
  • Assist with website maintenance
  • Assist with book and journal cover production
  • Creation and updates to various email marketing campaigns
  • Other projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments
  • Must be proficient in basic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Writing and proofing skills are also required
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
  • Organized, dependable, and detail oriented
  • Team Player
  • Quick and efficient learner
  • High sense of urgency
  • Able to work well under deadlines
