LifeFoundry is a startup in the University of Illinois Research Park that applies robotics, synthetic biology, and AI to enable microorganisms, as cell factories, to produce value-added chemicals from low-cost renewable feedstocks like corn and sugar cane. 
We are looking for an administrative coordinator to join us in this exciting journey! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams to solve challenging problems, this is the place for you. 
This is a part-time position which will have the potential to be turned into a full-time opportunity based on the performance. You will work closely with us on managing day to day business activities of the company and facilitating the growth of the company.
Facilitate daily business operation
Facilitate the meetings and communications between different groups in the company
Coordinate business development activities and manage the company’s business contacts
Plan and coordinate team building activities
Manage the accounts and bills
Documents financial transactions and quarterly reports.
Reconcile financial statements
Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
Be the main point of contact of vendors and service providers
Track quotes, invoices, and payments
A highly organized individual who enjoys working in a startup
Excellent communication and people skills
Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach
Willing and able to learn the variety of skills in different areas
Background in accounting, finance, and business management
At least one year of relevant work experience  
Experience in biotech is preferred
