Position Summary:

We are seeking a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) graduate student to primarily support Abbott Nutrition’s Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team on a business-critical project that aims to design and disseminate the results from an Intpatient Nutrition-focused initiative and its impact on patients health and economic outcomes. Results will help inform claims on Abbott Nutrition products and best-in-class nutrition processes that can result in improved health and economic outcomes to be utilized by key stakeholders.

The Student Will Be Responsible For:

• Reviewing and synthesizing insights from scientific literature searches

• Inform protocol and other study document development / write up

• Producing a literature review, data analysis, PowerPoint slide deck, abstract / poster presentation, and scientific manuscript for publication

• Communicating project progress/milestones to applicable project leader(s) on a regular basis

• Must be enrolled as a graduate student at UIUC

• Preferred field of study in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or other research-focused health-related discipline

• Must have 1-2 years research experience

• Proficiency in MS Office applications and statistical analysis software such as SAS, R, SPSS, STATA

• Experience with systematic literature reviews, scientific writing, and statistical analysis

• Attention to detail, effective communicator, and excellent verbal/written English language skills

• Self-motivated problem solver that can lead a project from beginning to end

Start Date/Duration: Fall 2018 and Spring 2019
