Experts-In-Residence

   

The Research Park contracts experts, consultants and entrepreneurs on our team to be available to Research Park clients. A team of fourteen Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIRs) consult entrepreneurs and inventors on starting companies and addressing business issues and strategy. The EIRs have experience forming technology companies, attracting customers, and scaling companies to successful exits and revenue. 

Designer-in-Residence: Offers guidance on improving user experience, incorporating product design in tech development, meeting customer needs.

Deana McDonagh, Professor of Industrial Design at University of Illinois

Site Director-in-Residence: Consultations on establishing operations in the Research Park and sharing best practices with existing clients.

John Quarton, a former successful Site Director of the State Farm Research & Development Center (SFRDC) in the Research Park

SBIR and STTR expert-in-residence: Assists with grant applications and grant management.

 Data Science Expert-in-Residence: Focuses on the application of advanced computational and statistical techniques to extract knowledge to astronomical data in an effort to better understand the Universe. 

Robert Brunner, Professor in the School of Information Sciences and in the Department of Accounting in the College of Business at the University of Illinois

Supply Chain Expert-in-Residence: Guidance regarding supply chain optimization using computational techniques and forecasting.  Offers knowledge on Stochastic Supply Chain Modeling, Manufacturing Planning, Optimization, Pricing, Distribution Channels and Supercomputing.
