Buses

The public transit system in Champaign-Urbana makes traveling to and from Research Park easy. The Champaign-Urbana MTD’s Link route makes transportation by bus more seamless between UIUC’s central campus and the Research Park.

This weekday daytime route connects several areas of campus with a 15-minute commute, creating a much more direct option for those traveling between most Grainger College of Engineering buildings and Research Park.

It also provides direct access from Research Park to the Siebel Center for Design, the new campus hub for design thinking.

Other highlighted stops on the 24 Link include:

  • The ARC
  • Siebel Center for Design
  • Main Library
  • ECE Building
  • Beckman Institute
  • Siebel Center for Computer Science
  • Illini Union
  • Gather development at Lincoln & University/Carle Hospital campus
  • Illinois Street Residence (ISR) Hall

See the Link route map and scheduled stops at the MTD website and get additional information about routes that go in or near the Research Park.

The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District’s bus routes cover the University of Illinois campus, Champaign-Urbana, and surrounding communities.

University of Illinois students, staff, and faculty can ride the Champaign-Urbana MTD buses for free; for those not affiliated with the University, annual and monthly passes are available for reasonable rates.
